Victoria Secret's most popular push-up...Infinity Edge® eliminates lines for an invisible look under clothes. Plunge front with Gel-Curve® padding for lift and cleavage. Padded for extreme lift with underwire cups.
Apples contain malic acid which has been shown in tests to help the body reduce the build up of uric acid deposits in the joints, which is a major aspect of conditions such as arthritis and gout. When apples are made into cider vinegar, this can be taken daily as a natural remedy that reduces the hard and abrasive uric acid deposits in the joints.

Home Made scrub
Mix 2 - 3 teaspoons raw oats (not the pre-cooked type) and crush into smaller bits either by hand or in a grinder with pure honey and 1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar until it forms a smooth mixture. Add more honey as needed. Add 1 drop of basil oil to the mixture.
BRUSH Basics
“"Pumping"†the brush applicator into a mascara to coat the brush can push bacteria and air into the product. We recommend a “"Swivel"†motion to maintain product integrity.
For those among us that are fighting the aging battle (and for those not yet there) exfoliation of the skin, helps with blood circulation and the removal of the dead skin cells that can cause it to look dull and dry. Exfoliating can be done every 14 days, and in some cases weekly.

Sunless tanning lotion and sprays are a popular alternative to traditional tanning methods. Many women choose this method to avoid the harmful effects associated with
sunbathing or using a tanning bed.
Before trying out a sunless tanning lotion, our Fuse Fashion Team thought you should be aware of the pros and cons of using these products.
Pro: Quick Results
Sunless tanning provides much faster results than conventional tanning. It would take hours in the sun to aquire that "sun kissed" look, sunless tanning lotions and sprays may take as little as 10 minutes to apply, and results are usually within hours.
Pro: No Harmful Effect
Sunless tanning is a way to gain a tan with out exposing oneself to harmful UV rays. Effects of UV rays include sunburn, aging of the skin and cancer. None of these are a concern when using tanning products.
Pro: Predictable Results
While the color gained through conventional tanning may be difficult to predict sunless tanning products come in a wide range of colors so that virtlually any skin tone you desire may be achieved.
Con: Lengthy Drying and Stained Clothing
Sunless tanning products have a tendency to stain clothing before and sometimes even after, they are completely dry. In addition, some sunless tanning lotions do not dry quickly. For these reasons a woman in a hurry might find these products difficult to work with.
Con: Unpleasant Smell
Although many sunless tanning products are scented to mask the smell of chemicals, they still have a distinct odor that many women dislike.
Con: Allergic Reaction
Sunless tanning products may not be good to use with all skin types. Some women have allergic reactions to the chemicals found in these products.
Con: Complicated Application
Some women find the application of sunless tanning products difficult. Common complaints include difficulty achieving and even tone, streaking and an orange-like hue. Also tanning lotions have a tendency to settle in and darken age spots and wrinkles, which may be troublesome for women with aged skin.

a few months I'll be turning 59! Yikes! Just one more year till the 'big one'. I find that I wear a lot less makeup now then I did in my younger years. I AM fortunate to have some good genes from my parents, and my skin has not yet wrinkled too much. I discovered mineral makeup about three years ago and have used them exclusively since. I believe that they are much healthier for your skin.
Through a referral from a friend, I discovered Smoky Mountain Minerals, and I make my purchases online. In these economical times, I look for sources to buy what I need without paying full retail prices (I learned years ago that makeup has about a 3,000% markup from the time of production to the time it's in the retail stores). I mix a light and a medium foundation together, to obtain a blend that's right for my skin color. They offer foundation, eye colors, blushes and more. Website is smokymountainminerals.com - the company is owned by a couple of great women and I personally like supporting small women-owned businesses.

haven't used soap on my face since I was a teen. I have a pretty simple skin care regime: cleanse - tone - moisturize. I've used Dermalogica products for at least 25 years. I clean with a mild cleanser - they offer several for different skin types and even different seasons. I neutralize using a toner with NO alcohol. The purpose of the toner is to balance the pH in the skin after rinsing with water. Finally, I use a moisturizer - a light one in the summer, with sunscreen, and a heavier one in the winter months. Sometimes I use an eye-cream.

emember baby oil with iodine to tan with? It was the thing to do back then, and well, now I'm paying the price. Having fair skin, I'm susceptible to moles, skin tags, aging spots. Laser technology exists for us now, but can be quite expensive - my recommendation is "prevention". No longer do I let the sun touch my skin. If I'm in an outdoor situation, even in a pool, I wear a long-sleeve cotton top over my suit, and a BIG floppy hat - got one from a company, San Diego Hat Company - has an SPF of 50! I try to remember to use a sunscreen - it's even recommended when we're driving as our hands and arms are exposed to the sun in the car.

I could write more on these topics, and please know that they are my personal recommendations -there are many books published on health, beauty, nutrition - so much information out there. Read it, filter it, and use the ideas that make good sense to YOU! "Here's looking at you" from the famous movie, a favorite motto.
I can't fight this aging process, but I will continue to do healthy things so I can look good at 60, at 70, and beyond. I still love turning heads!

Dear Maddie,
I am so confused ! I see so many sunscreens from SP15-100, what should I use? I have some protection in my make-up, is that enough? What do I these numbers really mean?
Karen L., Walnut Creek, CA
Hi Karen,
Great question! I will try to give a short answer. There are 2 types of Ultra Violet light that concern us- A and B. UV A is concerned with aging, and
UV B with burning, we obviously do not want either one!
A broad spectrum physical sunscreen is what you should have, that means one that protects from the burning and skin cancers that arise from UVB overexposure, and the premature aging from UVA.
I always recommend the ingredients titanium and/or zinc oxide over the chemical alternatives , as this will inhibit the heat build up as well as provide a shield from the sun.
You should apply a daily moisturizer of SPF 30, this is sufficient- always remember to reapply with prolonged exposure and after exercise-the higher SPF numbers just give you more heavy ingredients and chemicals for .04% more protection! Not worth it.
Apply enough quantity in the first place and reapply every 2-3 hours of exposure. Remember to include your neck, chest and hands too. There are mineral based powder sunscreens and oil free some tinted also available. These will all give good, natural even coverage- but still use a hat too whenever possible.

As a 21st century man I by no means pretend to know what "women really want.' I do find women fascinating, and the feminine mystique never ceases to amaze me. My best friends have been women. I've learned many valuable lessons from them.
I would like to share a lesson I've had the priviledge of leaning, recently, from the world just outside my window. For the past two years, my wife and I have been watching a young doe, who gave birth to twin fawns in our side yard.
We have been feeding the birds for years, but we never realized how much the deer enjoyed bird seed. They also love strawberries. After a year, the fawns are now yearlings, with little horns, and an ability to face the world on their own. Just when we thought the doe would be able to relax, we looked out the window, and discovered a new fawn.
Once again life is renewed, and again a mother's commtiment is tested.
To her credit, the doe is accepting her role with courage and grace. Right now, she's dozing under a magnolia tree outside our bedroom window. Her fawn is sleeping in the bushes, and she's taking a precious moment of peace.
One of the most important lessons I have learned from watching this beautiful creature is the need to find peace, even if it's only a brief interlude.
Find your magnolia tree, make yourself comfortable, clear your mind, and enjoy the bee's hum, and the bird's song.
Strawberries help too......

I was on a quest. Since I work in the beauty business, I was curious to see where my profession was significant (if at all) in the Bible. Was taking time for oneself to beautify and relax a spiritual or secular pursuit?
The first person that came to mind was Queen Esther. In Esther 2:12 it states; Before a girl's turn came to go to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh, facials and makeovers Everyday! I suppose if you were not up to par for King Xerxes by then, not much else was going to help.
As I thought about this, I realized the spa treatments were as much for the king (after all, he got to check out the final product) as they were for the girls. It was a win/win situation. Even if they didn't make the grade for King Xerxes at least they got some rest and relaxation. I say no harm, no foul. We of course never have to worry about meeting our King's expectations. Our heavenly Father accepts us as we are (unpedicured feet and all) and affords us much love and grace. However, would it be safe to say that He wants us to take time for ourselves to rest, care for ourselves and look better as a reflection and
representation of His care and providence for us?
Jesus, as always, was a wonderful example of how to receive pampering and care. In Matthew 266-10 it states; "While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man know as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this they were indignant. Why this waste they asked? (kind of like those husbands who say, You spent HOW MUCH at Sephora???) This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the
money given to the poor. Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me."
The perfume in the alabaster jar (it was like a box) was called nard. It was so rich it would go solid if it was cool enough. The pureness of this product is so intense that when it makes contact with your skin (and she poured it on Jesus' head), you can actually taste it on your tongue because the molecular structure is so fine it penetrates into your blood stream. This was how aromatherapy was first used, using pure essences to calm, soothe, heal. The smell
(see Matthew 26:13). So can we conclude that if Jesus was so blessed by this pampering experience that he put great value on receiving such indulgences? When he says, "The poor will always be with you" and you look in your wallet and couldn't agree with him more. He is still making a point about priorities and what's important. Now don't go quoting this scripture as justification for blowing the family nest egg on a spa package to rival Queen Esther, but with discretion, realize that sometimes what you think you just can't afford to indulge is probably what you need most, at least periodically to pause and refresh and be blessed.
Go now, my sisters and pamper thyselves.
would have permeated the entire room instantly. The cost is so great because just to extract an ounce of pure oil essence, you have to crush an entire field of rose petals! This woman probably had 2-3 ounces of this stuff. It probably took her several years to accumulate that amount just to pour it out in one go. She obviously felt it was worth it. A small price to convey her overwhelming gratitude to her Savior. When Jesus told the disciples to leave her alone, he completely understood the value of her gift and the motive of her heart. He didn't want anyone to take that from her or belittle her for doing essentially what he knew was right from her heart. He not only blessed her, he said she would essentially be immortalized for her actions

Dear Mary,
So I'm thinking it's time for a new game plan....clearly two decades is long enough to decide this current modus operandi is not effective! Start with a good hard look at your lifestyle choices...how you spend your time, stress levels, your career and social life...are they balanced? Do you feel you never have time for yourself? When you are ready to make your health and permanent weight loss a PRIORITY, you will start a successful journey towards your goal. An easy jump start, is to begin to eliminate week by week, one unhealthy habit (daily Starbucks, daily alcoholic drinks, daily refined sugar intake...pick one!). Don't worry about changing ALL your diet or ALL your exercise habits (or lack there of)....pick ONE thing. It takes 30 days to integrate a new habit/behavior into your brain. In a month, you will have carved out 4 unhealthy deterrents to your successful lifestyle change.
Dear Nina,
I am a 58 year old woman. I have been trying to shed thirty lbs for the
past 20 years. I really would like to make a change, could you please help me jump start my weight loss, what ideas might you have?
Mary B.

Dear Nancy,
I feel ya, sister. Trust me, I spent DECADES in a state of immobility to do anything (in fact, I just gave up, didn't even WANT to try) about losing the massive amounts I felt I was never going to lose. I had a wake up call with being very scared I would die from my deteriorating health, especially after seeing a family friend do just that. For me, I HAD to rely on a higher power, on something/someone bigger than myself...I knew I did not posess the strength to do it alone. I highly recommend for ANYONE embarking on a life changing journey, consult your Creator. Get in touch with a Higher Source. You will need that supernatural power source to rise above and move forward to success. If that weren't the truth, we would have ALL got it together and been successful ALL BY OURSELVES by now! That hasn't quite been the case though, has it?
I feel so overwhelmed with my weight. How did you keep your head in the
right place?
Nancy
Daly City, CA
Got a Question for Nina?
Click on the "?" to send her a confidential email.
Dear Wendy, Oy Wendy!
I'm STILL working on all that! :) It is by far MUCH harder, in my opinion, to maintain than the actual losing part. I wish someone would have told me that part when I started my journey. The best answer I can give you is you have to choose to live differently, choose to let go of the old habits and garbage that weighed you down both physically with extra pounds, but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I try hard to live in the moment, relish how great my body feels at this weight, how much better I feel about myself, and in doing so, it helps me not want to indulge in overeating, or skip workouts or eat high calorie non-nutritious food on a regular basis as I would have in the past because that's how I rewarded myself when I felt bad...or was bored...or some other ridiculous reason.
How do you keep from gaining the weight all back?
Wendy
